The neighbourhood is very quiet and only ten minutes by bus to downtown. The mayor reformed the area in order to do one of the most interesting places in the city with many gardens and fruit trees.
Very near (five minutes) is the biggest municipal park in the world, 'La Casa de Campo', with the Zoo, the Tivoli, the Lake and the Madrid Arena Stadium.
There are two supermarkets in 5 minutes walking distance and also a market thats open everyday with fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish eggs etc. that you can buy straight from the farmer. There are also endless stores and restaurants on the street... especially cheap shoe stores. (P° Extremadura street)
Very good public transportation: Underground, Bus and Train
Príncipe Pío mall center: Cinemas, Restaurants, Bars, Stores (Zara, H&M...) and much more.
Only eight minutes by bus to La Latina neighbourhood, the best place in Madrid to go for 'cañas' and 'tapas'.
In ten minutes by bus you can visit:
- Jardines del Moro
- Royal Palace
- Plaza Mayor
- Madrid de los Austrias
- Teatro Real (Opera House)
- El Rastro
- Las Vistillas
- Vicente Calderón Stadium (At. Madrid)
